I'll tell you what, Dragon Quest Builders isn't the cynical Minecraft rip-off I pegged it as, it's actually way more involved that that. So much so Square Enix have decided to release a trailer that goes in to detail as to what the game's about

Dragon Quest Builders does have the block building aspect of Minecraft, but it's more directed than that. You're building villages, buildings with a purpose. As you fill out your village people will come, possibly giving you quests, but they'll also make use of the buildings. What this means, I'm extrapolating here a bit admittedly, a weapon show, meals, armour. Especially as there does appear to be enemies in the game

Dragon Quest Builders releases in Europe on the 14th October
