APOCALYPS3 over, which means I can get back to playing Heavy Rain. I'm loving it so far, very few complaints in fact. I can see that if you aren't gripped by the drama of it all, and so less accepting of the 'immersion', then that might be something you'd point to. Me though, this is the game I've been waiting years for (not actually this game, you know what I mean)

I spent black monday playing Castlevania Rebirth on the Wii. It's not up there with the recent DS games, nor Super Castlevania, but it's a pretty good update. There's no save function, so it's all got to be done in one sitting, with continues dumping you back to the start of the level. There's no rpg shenanigans either, only straight up whipping and platforming. It's not as hard as you expect though, Castlevania games never are, but I'd stop short of giving it classic status.

I also played the demos of Gof of War 3 & Darksiders, neither of which really impressed me if I'm honest. I'm sure they're both good games, but neither felt all that fresh
